"Does your cell phone take decent pictures? If not, we can help you find a good camera phone easily and quickly!"
Why do you need a good camera built-in your cell phone? Because you don’t have your digital camera when you need it! Chances are you have your cell phone all the time?!
Click on any tab of a wireless carrier: at&t, Verizon, Sprint Nextel, and T-Mobile. You see a list of camera phones by brand. To help you efficiently, you see four features, only related to cameras:
“memory card” slot
Models with a memory card slot are better than ones without it.
If you want to use your cell phone as a camera, consider one with a memory card slot for two reasons. First, you can significantly expand your memory capacity. Internal memory is usually shared with music, pictures, and other digital files. If your cell phone’s user memory is 5MB, you can only store a few pictures and a few songs. Second, you can easily move your pictures to your computers with a removable memory card. This also removes your pain to go through your pictures on your small cell phone screen before e-mailing good ones. So, no more miscellaneous pictures stuck in your cell phone.
image quality (MP / megapixels)
The higher the number is, the better the image quality is.
camera “flash”
Models with built-in flash are better than ones without it. So, you can take pictures in dark or maybe in backlight.
internal memory (MB / megabytes)
The more internal memory is better if there is no memory card slot.
If there is a memory card slot, ignore the internal memory information. You can easily expand the memory with a removable memory card. The definition of internal memory may slightly differ depending on the specification. Possibly called user memory or shared memory, internal memory indicates memory space available for storage for any data including music. So, please don't assume you can use the entire internal memory for photos.
unlisted feature: digital zoom
Information on digital zoom is unlisted although most camera phones come with it. Digital zoom enlarges the photo partly, crops the rest, and drops the photo quality. When it comes to cameras, only optical zoom matters. Only a few camera phone models do come with optical zoom as of today. We will have a list for you shortly!
